Rachel K. Ward

Rachel K. Ward was creative director of Eispavillon (2003), an independent exhibition in the Swiss Alps, re-presented at Art Unlimited in Basel by artist Olivier Mosset. Ward was also creative director of Terminal 5 (2004), an independent exhibition at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, which included new work by Vanessa Beecroft (VB 54), Dan Graham, Tom Sachs and others, and a catalog sponsored by agnès b. Terminal 5 was selected for Artforum's "Best of 2004" and recognized by The New York Times, Architectural Record, Vogue (France), among others. Ward has been invited as a guest curator at Colette, Paris, a guest panelist on curating for Tokion magazine and was associate curator at Swiss Institute - Contemporary Art, New York.

Ward was born in Miami and received an MA in Art History from University of Florida, with her thesis on Ed Ruscha published by the Museum of Art of the XXI Century, Rome (MAXXI). She is currently completing a PhD in Media at Europäische Universität für Interdisziplinäre Studien (EGS) in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, where she studied with, among others, Jean Baudrillard, Yves-Alain Bois, Hans Ulrich Obrist and Agnes Varda.
